Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to The
“16TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON PATHOGENESIS AND HOST RESPONSE IN HELICOBACTER INFECTIONS” in Helsingør, Denmark in July 1st to July 4th, 2026.

Hope to see you there!

Dear colleagues

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the “16th International Workshop on Pathogenesis and Host Response in Helicobacter Infections” at Konventum (LO-skolen) in Helsingør north of Copenhagen, on July 1st to July 4th, 2026. The Workshop is organized by the European Study Group on Pathogenesis and Immunology in Helicobacter Infections, shortened to Helicobacter Pathogenesis and Immunology (HPI), which is affiliated to the European Helicobacter and Microbiota Study Group (EHMSG). Despite the changes in the EHMSG, the HPI-2026 will still focus on the basic mechanisms of the hosts interaction with Helicobacter species but will also include more comparative microbiology in areas where molecular mechanisms have been detected.

HPI was founded in Copenhagen in 1992 by scientists working on Helicobacter infections with the main purpose of stimulating the collaboration between scientific groups. One approach to realize this goal is to arrange basic science meetings on pathogenesis and immunology. Pathophysiology, diagnosis, antimicrobial agents and susceptibility testing are not the main subjects of the meetings although basic mechanisms underlying these fields are of some relevance to the workshop.

The workshops are international meetings with a special focus on young scientists presenting original unpublished work and the interaction with invited specialists presenting keynote lectures.

We look forward to seeing you in Helsingør in July 1st- July 4th, 2026!

Best regards
